research. Saw
this where a Milwaukee lawyer almost went to the pokey for violating the court's neck-tie requirement. An ascot is NOT a neck-tie...at least not in Milwaukee. I for one have appeared in court without a tie or an ascot without much ado.

Isn't that funny. Everybody use to wear them during part of the 70s -- even lawyers. We referred to them as dickies back then, for some reason. They are actually quite comfortable to wear and are considered semi-formal. You were them around your neck with an open shirt (but not far open).
